Language access

Understanding should come before enrollment.

Nexoria is preparing culturally responsive family education and language access for Punjabi-, Hindi-, and Urdu-speaking families. Support is matched to actual staff or interpreter availability—not assumed from a language request.

Current availabilityReferrals are not yet open. A workable language-access plan, qualified staffing, authorization, location, and schedule will be confirmed before intake or service acceptance.
What Nexoria can realistically offer

Punjabi, Hindi & Urdu family access

Families may ask for help understanding Nexoria’s developing program, referral pathway, and planning resources in these languages. Direct service in a requested language depends on the exact communication need and whether qualified support can be arranged safely and consistently.

Nexoria does not currently promise direct Urdu-speaking staff. When feasible, Nexoria can coordinate with the Regional Center or authorized partners to determine whether a qualified interpreter can be arranged. Acceptance is not confirmed until the plan is workable.

Your planning conversation

Ask for communication you can use

California DDS and Regional Centers offer free verbal or sign-language interpretation and written translation so people and families can access information in their own language. Contact the Regional Center directly to request free help in your language.

Before an IPP meeting

  • Tell the Service Coordinator which spoken, written, or sign language is preferred.
  • Ask early for a qualified interpreter and translated materials.
  • Share any communication format or accessibility needs.

Before Nexoria intake

  • Describe who needs language support and in which settings.
  • Confirm whether support must be direct, interpreted, translated, or a combination.
  • Wait for written confirmation that a workable plan is available before relying on it.
A clear process

How language access is confirmed

1. Ask

Share the preferred language and communication format without sending confidential records through ordinary email.

2. Review

Nexoria reviews the specific need alongside authorization, scope, qualified staffing, location, schedule, and safety.

3. Confirm

The available language-access arrangement is explained before intake. If a qualified, sustainable plan is unavailable, Nexoria will say so clearly.
